Privacy Policy

What is collected
Only what you type into the contact form: your name, phone number, email address, business name, and the details you choose to give about your business stage, entity type, turnover range, preferred mode of contact and the matter you wish to discuss.
Nothing else is collected. This site sets no advertising cookies, runs no analytics or tracking scripts, and does not build a profile of you.
The calculators and the readiness assessment
Every figure you enter into a calculator, and every answer you give in the readiness assessment, is processed entirely within your own browser. None of it is transmitted to us or to anyone else, and none of it is stored. Closing the page discards it.
How enquiry information is used
Solely to respond to your enquiry and, if an engagement follows, to carry it out. It is not sold, rented, shared for marketing, or used to contact you about anything you did not ask about.
Enquiries are delivered by email through a third-party form service and are received in the firm's own email account. They are retained for as long as needed to respond and to meet any record-keeping obligation, and deleted after that.
Confidentiality
Information you share is treated as confidential in accordance with the professional obligations that apply to a Chartered Accountant in practice, whether or not an engagement follows.
Your choices
You may ask what information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to mitul@mkthakkar.com and it will be actioned.

Purpose of this site
This website is published by M K Thakkar & Co., a firm of Chartered Accountants in practice. It exists to describe the firm's particulars and services to a person who has chosen to look for them, and to provide general information and tools that may be of use.
It is not an advertisement and is not a solicitation of professional work. Information about services is displayed only in response to a specific request by the visitor.

Accuracy
Reasonable care is taken to keep the content accurate and current, and tax-related content carries the financial year to which it applies together with the date it was last reviewed. No warranty is given that it is complete or up to date at the moment you read it.

Calculators and tools
The calculators provide indicative calculations for informational purposes only. Tax laws, rates, deductions, thresholds and applicable provisions change, and the constants used are set for a stated financial year. Results are estimates and must not be treated as professional tax advice or relied upon for filing, planning or any decision with financial consequence.
The income tax calculator assumes a resident individual below sixty years of age with no income taxed at special rates, and applies surcharge without marginal relief. Your own position may differ materially.
The readiness assessment
The assessment is an indicative self-assessment generated from your own answers. It is not a professional opinion, not an audit, not a review of your records, and not a diagnosis of your business. It creates no engagement and no reliance.

Information and external links are provided for general informational purposes. Verify current provisions with the relevant official authority before acting. Rates, classifications and regulatory requirements can and do change between reviews of this site.
